I’ve got today free so I’m off to Manchester to try on clothes. I don’t care if I buy anything but I need to spend some time in front of three-way mirrors to get to grips with what I look like at the moment.

Millie, I never seem to know what I really look like. I stare at photos of myself sometimes, trying to see myself as others do. The strange thing is that I ‘feel’ much thinner than what I see in the mirror or in photos.
Oh yeah, and I also feel much younger than I really am. It always catches me by surprise when I’m talking to someone and suddenly realize I’m much older than they are.
Donna – I’m the same. That’s why I go shopping sometimes even if I don’t need to. The brutal light and different clothes help me to see things as they are. (I think)
