It seems like they&#039;re saying &quot;waist&quot; when they mean &quot;abdomen&quot;. I don&#039;t think it&#039;s genetically possible for women in my family to have a 32&quot; abdomen - not with the well-made Highland stock that I come from!</description>

		<description>Just thought of something. Try this, bend sideways and place your finger at the bend.  When you straighten up, measure where your finger is.  Since you have to bend at the waist, this should be where you measure.</description>

Just above the navel - definitely not.

Sometimes the narrowest part is at the navel but not always.

I think I would be inclined to consider the place where, when you sit down, your waist band naturally settles.</description>
